WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CASAS AND MENTORS?
The Judge presiding over a court case decides if a CASA will be assigned to children in the foster care system. Mentors are not court appointed, and do not interact with the court system or other governmental organizations.
WHO CAN BE A MENTOR?
Individuals who are 21 or older may apply to be a mentor. Each mentor must undergo background checks and complete the Cecil County Mentor Training. If you would like more information about being a mentor, contact us today.
Who can refer to our program?
Guardians and local non-profit and government agencies can refer to our program.
