Mentor one child. Change two lives.

Cecil County Mentors was created after a need was identified to provide additional services for children in Cecil County. The Cecil County Mentors program strives to provide that support. We help our youth develop and follow through on their goals while also connecting them to established community services. The goal of Cecil County Mentors is to make sure youth in Cecil County have access to the support they need to transition into successful young adults. By participating in our mentorship program, you are investing in our children’s future.

What is the Cecil County Mentors Program?

Cecil County Mentors work with youths who currently reside in Cecil County. Mentors aim to guide children as they transition from middle and high school into young adults. They help our youth navigate educational, vocational, and social changes. Mentors work both one on one as well as in group settings to help their assigned youth set and achieve their own goals. Mentors fulfill an important need in our community by helping youth who may be in an unstable environment find their path forward.

What is the Difference between CASAs and Mentors?

The Judge presiding over a court case decides if a CASA will be assigned to children in the foster care system. Mentors are not court appointed, and do not interact with the court system or other governmental organizations.
