Dear Friends of CASA,

Imagine that one morning you kissed your loved one as they left for work, and later got a call that they were a shooting victim being flown to Shock Trauma Center at the University of Maryland Medical Center, in Baltimore.  On October 18th, Amy Sosa, an advocate with CASA of Cecil County did just that—her husband, a hard-working father of four children, was shot in the head.

Enoch Villegas Sosa was one of several employees shot on an ordinary Wednesday morning, when a co-worker came in with a gun.  Luckily, he was one of the survivors of the deadly Edgewood workplace shooting, but his life has changed forever.

In February of this year, Amy, a selfless wife and mother, came to CASA as a volunteer to help those in need.  Now it is our turn to give a helping hand—

Thanksgiving is a national holiday in the United States—the official season of gratitude.

During this season of Thanksgiving, we are grateful for those around us—this year, more than ever, the Sosa family struggles to find ways to cope.  Help us reach out to someone in our CASA community during this difficult time by contributing to “CARDS for SOSA”.

As a CASA family, let’s send out our thoughts and prayers.  Let’s help this family by letting them know that there are people from their state, county and community that are thinking of them.

We would like to have hundreds of cards for the Sosa Family

We can only do that with your support and participation.

Thank you in advance for your interest in writing a card to one of our very own.

(CASA of Cecil County would like to have cards to be distributed to the Sosa family, by Thanksgiving, November 23rd.)

Please forward all cards to:
